Performing multiple, concurrent activities LM Heavy Civil Construction, LLC (LMH), delivered this $19 million, 15-acre, site segment, meeting an aggressive, 6-month project delivery schedule . LMH responsibilities included clearing/grubbing of the entire site in preparation for excavation of over 900,000 CY unclassified material, including 36,000 CY of rock excavation; 50,000 CY of topsoil stripping; filling and building of slope embankments; extensive utilities work; foundation excavation and backfill for 10 proposed building structures; access roadways; and parking lots and pavement markings.
Water and sewer utilities included 9,400 LF of water mains and 72 gate valves 5, 700 LF of PVC sewers and 37 sewer manholes ; 8 grease traps (3,200-12,000 gal) and 2 pump stations. Drainage included 17,900 LF of 6"- 48" HDPE storm drains and 145 4- to 8-foot diameter manholes , 140 catch basins , 10 square precast outlet control structures (OCS), 8 Stormceptor units (STC 450i to 11000) and 5 subsurface drainage structures . Other utilities included 6,300 LF of gas pipe trenching and19 ,000 LF electrical telecom conduit excavation and backfill. Finish work included 20,000 tons of asphalt paving for new parking lot and roadways ; extensive granite curbing (18, 100 LF vertical , 123,000 LF sloped) ; foundation excavation and backfill for 10 new buildings ; and parking lot pavement marking
